So good to be with you again! I appreciate this opportunity. Our last word to look at this week is Reconciliation. Another big word!
Reconciliation
This word means reunited, made friends again. It is wonderful to learn that man is reconciled to God, not God to man. God seeks us out to be reconciled to Him. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2 Cor. 5:17-21. God reunited with us (we who had been separated from Him by sin); we made friends with God again through our obedience to Jesus Christ.
That he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross (Jews and Gentiles). Eph 2:16. By the cross of Christ Jews and Gentiles were reunited, made friends again.
Can you be reconciled to God if you do not attempt to reconcile to anyone that you are at variance with?
Conclusion tomorrow!
