Debbie Kea was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, but she was raised in San Jose, California.  She attended Freed-Hardeman College where she met her husband, Randy.  She has been a preacher’s wife for 48 years.  She has two children, Clint and Christy, and eight grandchildren.

Debbie is a retired high school English teacher with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

Debbie is one of the writers for the book My Sister’s Keeper.  Her books We’re All Wounded, Forty Years on the Second Pew, Am I Brave Enough?, Staying Close to the Shepherd, Studies in Selected Psalms, and most recently, Strategies for Raising Spiritually Healthy Children are published by Yeomen Press.

She teaches elementary classes at the Fairview Church of Christ in Rex, Georgia but has taught all ages, usually writing her own material.  Debbie has spoken at many ladies days, retreats and workshops.  She has made two mission trips to American Samoa and the Fiji Islands.  She speaks weekly on the Facebook page Taste and See.

She loves to read, write and crochet.  She collects teapots, birds and church houses.  Her passions are her God, her family, and her sisters in Christ.
