What is the conclusion of the whole matter when it comes to God’s Big Words?
Consider this passage: Romans 3:23-26—for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness; that he might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Do I see all of these concepts in my life? Do I appreciate all of these as acts of God toward me, undeserved and abundant?
If you have obeyed the gospel, you have been justified (pronounced not guilty), you have Jesus as your propitiation (He covers your sins), you have been redeemed (bought back from the slavery of sin), you have been sanctified (made holy, set apart for God’s purpose), atonement has been made for you (sins covered with the blood of Jesus), your heart has been circumcised (you are in covenant relationship with God), you have been regenerated (reborn spiritually), and you have been reconciled to God (you and God are friends again)!
Understanding these Big Words of God should help us live even greater lives of gratitude toward Him. I hope every time you read them in your Bible you will have a richer knowledge of God’s Word!
